Joss Stone Insults Lily Allen's Singing...

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we love a good celebrity catfight, and here’s a prime one in the making.

Outspoken singer Joss Stone has taken a swipe at equally outspoken singer Lily Allen over the Smile songstress’ former crusade to against illegal file sharing. In an interview Joss said:

"Lily needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offence to her because I think that she knows that too”

So if Lily’s not a singer, what is she Joss?

“I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live. And I think it’s probably harder for an artist like Lily...”

So according to Joss, Lily isn’t making real music is she? Essentially, Joss adds, Lily's battle against file sharing is pointless as musicians don’t really need stacks of money - apparently.

“Who said that musicians have to be millionaires? Who made this a rule? We don’t need that much money. We just don’t. We only need enough to make music and to eat and to go on tour.”

Oh shut up Joss. So now that Lily’s quit social networking – do you even think she’ll bother retaliating?

Joss Stone should concentrate on her own music! I personally think Joss Stones music is shit even i she can sing! Can John and Edward sing??? NO but every one loves them!!!

I think she is way off the mark here, stupid cow! Lily can sing! Joss remind me of your last no1 hit? Lily has toured all over the world and she has a huge fan base! I for one am going to 8 of her gigs between now and xmas! Lily is a great performer, but to say she cant sing is a bit stupid! Its a bit like saying David Beckham cant play football!

Look before you all run to defend Lily. Engage your brain and read what Joss said...... Joss is right Lily is a personality and performer Lily is not a great singer. That is a fact. There is nothing to defend.

I kind of see what Joss is saying. Its obvious Lily doest have a distinct voice. Lily does court fame. She is usually always doing something or saying something to get her in the media. Whether, it feuds with Cheryl Cole, weight loss, moaning about how the paparazzi won’t leave her alone, wearing something proactive, men, being mouthy..etc. All those things keep her in the public eye & get her more air time. She is not one of those artists that really just focus on their music. She courts fame. The things Lily does, keeps her in the public eye, which also helps to sell her music. People know her for her antics & also whats she gets up to. She is not private & rally focuses on her Yes lily Allen is a ‘sings’ & she has made 2 albums & she goes on stage, but I agree, that now she is MORE of a personality than a singer. U THINK OF Lily & u think about her being mouthy, feuding saying sh**t, moaning, about being sh**tr than Amy Wine house.

Joss Stone really gets on my nerves-she looks like a pig! She does have good voice tho altho i don't like her music- i can appreciate that she does have talent tho. Just shame about the face and the attitude!

I Love Lily but i do think Joss has a point, Lily cant really hold a note live, whether you like Joss or think shes a complete **** she can sing, and bloody well!! And as for the bit about not needing millions, she right again, who says just because your a singer you deserve to be rich and live in luxury??

saw joss live and saw lily live... Joss kicked her butt in the live stakes. lily is a name and a persona but she cannot sing.. she would be booted off xfactor or any other singing competition in a second. she talks prettily she does NOT sing. arg. ok some of her tunes are good but thats not singing my friend. joss is a weirdo but at least she can sing. just cause you aint released anything doesnt mean you arent a singer DUH.. and actually Joss sings on an advert on the tv at the moment. the flake ad
