During an interview with the publication MC Harvey made a series of claims about his personal relationship with the singer, which Cheryl later rebuked on Twitter.

Chezza’s rep released a statement regarding the case a short time ago, saying:

"Cheryl Cole has today commenced legal proceedings in London against the publishers of Now magazine as a result of its two articles about her alleged "secret romance" with Michael Harvey.

"Cheryl's lawyers have asked to see Mr Harvey's alleged e-mails which the magazine says are "proof" of the "romance" but it claims not to have them in its possession. Mr Harvey's claims are denied by Cheryl and she looks forward to seeing both him and the magazine in Court at the very earliest opportunity."

Harvey recently played-down his “romance” claims during a radio interview saying he’d simply had a “communication relationship” with Cheryl, which consisted of mostly email exchanges.

The editor of Now has seen these alleged correspondences and is still standing by his decision to publish the interview, and Harvey’s claims.

Thankfully the former X Factor star reminded us that she’s expecting when we spotted her shopping for baby goods at Mamas & Papas in London this afternoon.

The 22-year-old reality TV babe – who already has a three-year-old son from a previous relationship – is expecting her second child in a couple of months time and when we spotted her she looked blooming lovely. Aw.

Reports this week suggested that the Girls Aloud star had reunited with Tom Crane, however a publication today has now reported the romance has already come to an end. A source revealed:

"It's over. And this time it's for good. Too much has gone on for them to move forward. Sarah is now single and focusing on work."

So she’s single and ready to mingle again – and just in time for Valentine’s day, although we’re not too sure Sarah is ready to jump on the dating wagon just yet; when she went to get her Range Rover serviced earlier a pap heckled her and offered to take her for lunch or a coffee. She kindly declined his offer.

The TOWIE star has been single since splitting from long-term boyfriend Kirk Norcross and as a result she’s decided a Dating Website would be the perfect venture for her to get involved in.

She said, “I’ve been single for a number of months now and having kissed a few frogs along the way, I know how difficult it can be for a number of girls and boys out there to meet someone special.”

She then added, “With my new dating website ‘Hope With Pope’ I aim to bring some happiness and introduce similar people in my position together.”

And Lauren shouldn’t be too short of people signing up, after all everybody on TOWIE seems to be single at the moment.

Now she’s better, and is getting ready to make her performance comeback at the Grammys, the singer has decided to talk about the op. In an interview on US TV, which is due to air on Sunday, Adele talked to silver fox US TV anchor Anderson Cooper about the moment she knew she’d damaged her voice:

"It was like someone put a curtain over my throat ... and I could feel it," she added: "It felt like something popped in my throat."

Describing the surgery she said: “(They) put lasers down your throat, cut off the polyp and kind of laser your hemorrhage back together and fix it."

Er, did anyone else shudder a tiny bit while reading that?

While recovering Adele wasn’t allowed to talk and as you can imagine she found that a bit of a struggle, particularly because she couldn't swear – something she’s quite fond of doing:

"I had an application on my phone that you type the words into it, and then it speaks it," she said. "But the great thing is, I love to swear. Most of (the apps) you can't swear on, but I found this one app where you can swear, so I'm still really getting my point across."

If Kate Middleton was feeling a little bit apprehensive about attending her first public engagement without Prince William on hand for support she certainly wasn’t showing it when she stepped out in London last night.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked extremely relaxed and confident at a private view of the Lucian Freud exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.

Kate’s hubby is currently away for six weeks with the RAF so she had better get used to attending these sorts of engagements all on her lonesome and next week there will be much of the same when she’s scheduled to visit The Brink – an alcohol-free bar linked to Action on Addiction – in Liverpool and the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

But if she did find it difficult, she didn’t betray any emotion in her face; the model (who still had her wedding ring on) maintained a smiley visage as she posed in front of the press at AmFAR’s fashion bash last night, where we’d also spotted Lindsay Lohan.

She joined a host of celebs at the party including Julianne Moore, Liz Hurley, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Hudson and Nicky Hilton.

Unfortunately this predilection has come back to bite him on the arse, or rather his crotch. The singer was filming a video for Sports Relief about the importance of warming up before exercising and during one particular stretch his trousers split at the front - right from his bum up to his privates.

It could’ve been worse though; at least he wasn’t going commando.

Frankly she was looking a little tired, her hair resembled a wig which was about to slip off her head and her coat was horrendous. On the up side her dress wasn’t bad though.

Lindsay stepped out like this for the amFAR gala in NY as part of New York Fashion week. Yes that’s right, Fashion Week is here so expect to see plenty more pics like this in the coming weeks. Soz.
