The actor – who we spotted leaving his New York apartment earlier this week with his eldest son Rafferty – had initially planned to financially support baby Sophia and her mother Samantha Burke, but have no contact with them in the long-term.
But according to a close family friend, Jude is now having second thoughts.
“He felt it would be easiest to just pay Samantha and hope that she moved on and left him alone” a source said.
“But now he is feeling very torn. He is on the brink of going to see Sophia but first of all, he wants to make sure his older kids feel totally secure and to make them feel they are involved in what is one of the biggest decisions of his life.”
Well we think it’s a pretty big decision for Sophia’s life as well – let’s hope he makes the right choice for her…

OMH I do love Jude Law, but seriously hun get a f***ing grip....I know its hard as you have other children, but I was and still in Sophias situation, I am 23 now and have only started to get in contact with my blood dad and his 2 other children and TBH I have hard feelings for my dad cuz he never wanted to bother to have contact untill now...haha well he has some news for him cuz I am not really that interested, and he knows that and it hurts him that he wasnt part of my life from the beginning, at the end of the day you children Mr Law are Sophias half brothers/sisters and they WILL want contact with each other and it is disgusting that you have not even seen your baby girl already...I hope you do the best and be a proper father to that baby girl, she didnt ask to have a shit father, she wants one that loves her, so as I have been in this situation, I would be a man and father as you already are to your others and do not push this one to one side!!!
