Katy Perry Would Ditch Singing For A Full Time Spot On American Idol…

Last night Katy Perry was the latest in a long line of celebs to appear as a guest judge on American Idol and guess what? She went down a storm!

After promising to be brutally honest, the I Kissed A Girl singer didn’t disappoint when fellow judge Kara told one hopeful, “You’re the kind of kid with just enough talent and just enough of a story,” Katy rolled her eyes and said, “This is not a Lifetime movie, sweetheart… Don’t ever put somebody though because you feel bad.”

Wow, we couldn’t have put it better ourselves, although we’re not too sure Simon or the rest of the production team would agree.

But anyway, after the show Katy was asked whether she’d enjoyed her guest stint and she replied, “It's kind of like judging a talent show.”

“The 'American Idol' experience was awesome. If I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career.”

Did you hear that Simon? We think we’ve found your replacement.

Agree with you no2! Without papos and stories about her `private secrets´ plus full descriptions of her sexually transmitted disease on twitter (trip to Vegas left itching souvenir, eh?) she would be as interesting as a mouth farting ameba.

She is overrated! I wish she would give up singing but please don't put her on TV. It would be horrible to have to see adverts with her face on a regular basis.

I am totally dissapointed about how her public image has changed. I think that with Russell Brand by her side, she opened the doors to demons. I LOVE the Katy Perry of 2008 & early to summer 2009. She was more honest, balanced & even more funny than now. And don't feel it is the real "she", but now is a real "s**t". I am praying, for God help her to open her eyes.
