You may recall that last year a gang of thieves targeted a string of homes in Hollywood belonging to celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson and Paris Hilton.

Having now been slung in jail for their crimes, one of the thieves – 18-year-old former actor Nick Prugo – has been talking to Vanity Fair in the US (erm, why?!) about his crimes, and why he specifically chose to rob the home of airhead heiress Paris Hilton.

Prugo - who made away with £1.2million worth of jewellery from Paris’ home - also claims that he and his gang found 5gm of cocaine while robbing the socialite’s Hollywood mansion, which he promptly stole.

‘Like, who would leave a door unlocked? Who would leave a lot of money lying around?’ he said. ‘Stupid.’

And speaking of stupidity itself; we actually bumped into Paris last night as she was on her way into David Letterman’s TV show in New York along with comedienne Sarah Silverman…
