Suddenly our entire office was awash in speculation about what could’ve caused the two random prongs of flesh which seemed to be sticking out of Angie’s neck when she was pictured in Venice last week.
Well now a plastic surgeon in the US has suggested that the 34-year-old may have had a something done on her mug (no s***) called a “ribbon lift”.
The £4,000 procedure apparently involves having a small cut made near a person’s earlobe so that a thread of absorbable ribbon can be implanted, thus making the skin on the neck appear tighter (given 12 weeks of healing that is).
Unfortunately though, it looks like Jolie’s surgery may have gone a bit Pete Tong. Plastic surgeon Abel Mounir said:
“It looks as though she's received the ribbon treatment from the gathering of skin just below her earlobe.
“But the picture makes it look as though the fixed mechanism of the ribbon has snapped, resulting in the U-shaped indent under the skin.”
Whatever it is, let’s hope she gets it sorted before the Oscars in a couple of weeks time…
