Apparently the uber-rich couple have their eye on George Clooney’s Italian villa - where they once stayed for several days – which is situated on Lake Como.
Clooney has decided to sell the multi-million pound villa (when we hear the word “villa” we generally think of a small, quaint, cobbled home with beams, but this is actually a mahoosive 30 bedroom bad boy with a lake in the back garden) because it’s not private enough and there’s always photographers knocking about.
But David Beckham loves it: the Italian press revealed today that Becks has been telling his pals:
“I have fallen in love with the beautiful countryside. It's peaceful, quiet and near Milan. It would be great for the family."
Doesn’t really sound like something David would say, does it. We’re guessing that was a rough translation.
And now that the Beckhams have put in an offer on the house (as has a Russian billionaire apparently) George Clooney is now looking to buy a new property on Lake Como – a whole bloody castle which is situated on a small idyllic island.
Does that sound secluded enough for you George?
