When the inevitable topic of John Mayer’s recent Playboy interview came up, where he referred to Simpson as ‘sexual napalm,’ Letterman said, “Now why doesn’t the guy know better than to say things like that?”
Jessica coyly replied, “Like what? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” But then the joking stopped and she said, “Normally you would think that somebody you care about would keep those intimate details to himself. I mean, it was definitely a compliment – in a way – but I don’t really want people to know that about me.”
She then admitted that she hasn’t spoken to Mayer since the interview came out, “I think he’s a great person, a great musician, but I was very disappointed by the article,” she said before moving onto her most recent ex Tony Romo, who she had nothing but praise for, “He’s going to be one of my friends for life,” she said with a big smile on her face.
