Alice Tully Hall in New York played host to the annual CFDA Fashion Awards last night.

Notable guests included Alexa Chung, who looked effortlessly stylish in her nude coloured gown, Gwyneth Paltrow, who arrived in a black asymmetrical Michael Kors dress and Sarah Jessica Parker, who paid tribute to the late Alexandra McQueen in one of his patterned creations from his pre-autumn 2010 collection.

During the evening models took to the catwalk to showcase McQueen’s final collection, before the tragic designer was honoured with the CFDA Board of Directors’ Special Tribute Award.

Elsewhere, we also spotted Rachel Weisz, Dakota Fanning and Anna Wintour, as well as a brightly, and somewhat uncharacteristically, dress Jessica Biel, twin sisters Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick and British model Daisy Lowe.
