There were scenes of sheer pandemonium outside The Savoy cinema in Dublin last night.

The crowds went wild when Russell Brand arrived and walked the red carpet with his Get Me To The Greek co-star Jonah Hill.

At one point somebody chucked a pair of knickers at Russell, who was clearly enjoying all the attention and much to the crowds delight decided to jump over the barrier, before being carried back by security.

But it wasn’t just Russ who drove the crowds wild last night, when Jedward arrived the screaming was immense and one cheeky chappy even stuck a sticker promoting the twins new album on Russell Brand’s back.

Suffice to say the sticker was hastily removed by security, but you’ve got to admire the fan’s dedication.

Meanwhile, other celebrity guests included Michelle Heaton and erm, that’s about it.
