So while at the launch of the Katie Piper Foundation (more on this a bit later) last night Simon took some time out to address the issue of Cheryl’s health, reassuring the crowd the singer is in actual fact A-OK following her battle with malaria. He said:
"I had a text from her last night. She says she is better and feeling perky. She does want to come back to work but I need to talk to her about when that's going to be."
And there you have it everybody – Simon says Cheryl is “perky” (oh, that sounded filthy didn't it?) so you’ve got nothing to worry about.
Now in some non-related Tweedy news - when we caught up with Simon yesterday he was in the midst of officially unveiling the Katie Piper Foundation (as we were saying earlier) which is a special clinic set up by him and Piper (an ex-model who was disfigured in an acid attack orchestrated by a jealous ex) to help burns victims.
