When the singer made a fleeting visit back to the UK from Australia (where he’s currently working as a judge on the Aussie version of the X Factor) over the weekend, he told revellers at the Henley festival, where he was performing, that he was “really scared” of losing his wife.
Showing off his wedding ring to the crowd he then added: "thanks so much for all your support. You were the ones who kept me going. It's been a really scary time."
