Our GCSE French is rusty at best (we know how to say all the really important stuff such as “je voudrais une boutielle du vin” and that seems to get us by just fine) so we didn’t immediately spot that Rihanna had made a little grammatical error with her fancy new “Rebelle Fleur” tattoo which she had done earlier this week.

Now if we’re going to get all anal about it, technically her tattoo should read “Fleur Rebelle” because if you were to translate her current design directly from French it would actually say “flower rebel”.

Now we’re assuming Rihanna meant for her new tat to say “rebel flower” as apposed to “flower rebel” so we’re guessing she made a silly mistake, but who knows perhaps RiRi is just someone who’s very rebellious about flowers in general and she needed to let the world know about it.

Either way it’s not really the most significant of mistakes is it? We mean, it’s not as if the French are going to throw crusty baguettes at her for not mastering their language properly is it?

No and besides, Rihanna looked like she couldn’t care less about her probable linguistic mistake when she headed for a night out in New York yesterday (following her gig), so if she’s happy about it then we guess that’s all that matters isn’t it?
