The supermodel - who is currently the face of Balenciaga, Isabel Marant and designs bags for Longchamp - reportedly called it a day because she’s got too much going on at the moment and Topshop boss, Sir Philip Green confirmed:
“Kate has done 14 collections with us. It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but they take more and more time and she cannot do this full time any more.”
Meanwhile, there’s been rumours circulating that while Kate claims to be ‘too busy’ to continue her collection, there’s actually a rather interesting reason for her sudden departure and that is Sir Philip Green’s daughter Chloe.
In the past she’s been quoted as saying, “Hopefully one day I might design a “Chloe Green for Topshop” range. I don’t think it’s asking too much,” and rumour has it Kate’s stepped aside so Chloe can take her place.
