The relatively new three-piece group thanked the audience as they accepted their £20,000 cheque and Oliver Sim, the band’s singer and bass player said:
“We’ve had the most incredible year and it has just felt like every day we’ve just woken up to something incredible we just weren’t expecting. It has felt just like a haze. Being here is like a moment of clarity in all that’s happening.”
The south London based band saw off stiff competition from Biffy Clyro, Corinne Bailey Rae, Kit Downes Trio, Foals, I Am Kloot, Laura Marling, Mumford And Sons, Villagers and Wild Beasts, to name but a few of the 12 shortlisted acts, but do you think the right people won?
