Hurrah, award season is finally over and you can’t even begin to imagine how elated we are that once today is over we won’t have to write about another poxy award show for a very long time.

But anyway, back to today’s big news which is of course the fact The King’s Speech cleaned up at last night’s Oscars winning Best Actor, Best Directing, Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture.

Meanwhile Inception also won four gongs including Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and finally Best Visual Effects.

Natalie Portman scooped Best Actress, while Christian Bale and Melissa Leo were honoured with the Best Supporting Actor and Actress award.
