We’d like to be able to compile both the good and the bad red carpet ensembles from last night’s Grammys into two different categories for you to peruse through, but unfortunately there were so few decent outfits on display its impossible for us to do so.
The Grammys tend to be an exercise for those in the world of pop to dress as ridiculously as possible in an attempt to get some press attention and last night was no exception – for some celebrities at least.
Nicki Minaj desperately tried to get tongues wagging by reaching for some good old religious iconography in a bid to be contraversial; she turned up in Catholic garb with a faux Pope hanging off her arm.
Someone called Sasha Gradiva also took a leaf out of Lady GaGa’s book in her ensemble when she arrived looking like a half woman, half robot. Fergie, of Black Eyed Peas fame, simply dressed appallingly, as did model Anne Vyalitsyna and some bird called Bonnie McKee.
On the plus side Rihanna looked quite good and so did Adele and Jessie J. As for everyone else, well we think the work “meh” best sums it up.
