The Brit Awards were pretty dull last night. What? They were.

So we were kind of pleased when Adele hit back at having her acceptance speech for the Best British Album cut short, so that Blur could deafen us with an 11-minute medley of their hits, because it gave us something to talk about.

The Someone Like You hitmaker was given approximately 30 seconds to thank everyone before James Corden interrupted and said she had to wrap it up. The audience booed as Adele said 'thanks' and 'see you next year', before giving an middle fingered salute to the camera. How rude, we mean James, not Adele.

Not that we’re blaming James, he was just taken orders from above. So who are we blaming? Well Adele blames the suits and we’re inclined to agree.

After the show she told reporters:

“I flipped the finger but it wasn't to my fans. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, it was the suits that offended me.”
