The Dark Knight World Premiere…

The World premiere of 'The Dark Knight' held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square. New York, USA. 14/07/2008

Despite the fact it’s the most hyped film of the year, the world premiere of The Dark Knight held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York last night was a somewhat sombre affair with the usual red carpet replaced with funeral black in Heath Ledger’s honour and most guests choosing a demure attire…..

Ethan Hawke, Ed Westwick, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Morgan Freeman and Christian Bale were just a few famous faces to put in an appearance and we hear Heath Ledger’s family was also there although understandably they chose to bypass the black carpet. When asked about Heath’s role as the joker Christian Bale who plays Batman said:

“He steals the movie and I'm quite happy to say that. He's a hell of a talent and created a joker that's very iconic and one that will become a classic portrayal of the ages.”

You can judge for yourself when The Dark Knight is released nationwide 25 July.

It´s so so sad I still find it hard to believe. Like if he was going to appear suddenly and say it was all a dark joke... But it´s not :(

Gross! Who invited Lauren Conrad. That's a a joke right!? Why would they invite such an talentless "actress" when everyone is honoring such a talented actor!? That's sick.

I guess I can understand if she wanted to see the film. Who doesn't, right? But did she really have to walk the carpet. I mean really!
