£7.5 million, the most expensive baby pictures EVER!! The magazine won a bidding war with OK! for photographs of the coveted Brangelina twins, who were born in France on July 13.
The news will come as somewhat of a disappointment to OK who were apparently willing to "print blank pages" for the rest of the year in the hope of securing the lusted after snaps. A source from Hello! said:
"This is one of the publishing sensations of the decade... We expect to triple our circulation."
In order to maximise on sales for the scoop the magazine has brought its publication date forward to August 4 - this coming Monday. In 2006 Hello! paid £2 million to secure the British rights for the first images of Brad and Angelina’s newborn daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pit. The American rights for the twin pictures will go to People magazine.
Wow, from £2 mill to £7.5 mill, what a difference?! That essentially works out as £3.75 mill per baby; that’s a hell of a lot of cash considering there’s a ruddy credit crunch!!
