In an interview Michael suggested that his outspoken concerns about Samantha were a result of remarks made by Dina. He alleges Dina had confessed fears to him of Sam’s negative influence, after she’d heard rumours that the L.A. DJ was writing a tell-all book:

“Dina told me that Sam was writing a book, that Sam was a negative influence on Lindsay and that Sam needs to be out of Lindsay's life....then she asked me how to do it!!

Michael then goes on to fire a series of spurious claims about Dina, calling into question her character, motives and mothering skills. Talking about Dina’s parental instincts he says “Dina cares? PLEASE!!!!.... Dina took a percentage of Lindsay's money when I NEVER took a red cent!” In a further scathing attack on her character, Michael says:

"Dina is a money-loving, fame-seeking, self-serving deceiver, who comes from roots of the same. Meanwhile they say I seek fame! Ha! I am out there doing charity work, going on mission trips, working with the United Nations and trying to help my daughter while spending sleepless nights with a father dying of cancer.”

Wait – the United Nations have enlisted the help of Michael Lohan to do charity work? God help us all….
