A giant pink cake in the shape of a star arrives in preperation for Cheryl Cole's birthday, the cake which cost £2,500 is designed by hubby Ashley Cole and decorated especially with her favourite things, butterflies, which she loves, the message reads 'To my little star' . Also delivered are 90 balloons costing £300 and 120 little cakes to be given out to guests. London. UK. 01/07/2009

Cheryl Cole’s hubby Ashley earned himself a couple of extra brownie points last night when he surprised his wife with a stunning pink birthday cake, which cost a whopping £2,500!

Apparently, Ashley designed the pink star shaped cake himself and asked the cake makers to cover it in Cheryl’s favourite things, roses, stars and butterflies.

But that wasn’t all he also had the message, “To my little star, Happy Birthday! Love Ash xx” written on it.

Aw, how sweet, let’s just hope it tasted as good as it looked eh!

what a waste of money. I would be so mad if someone brought a cake for 2,500 think of the people who could do alot with that money....so selfish.
