Kate Garraway looked happy and relieved yesterday as she left a medical facility after having had two operations within days of each other.
The former GMTV presenter was reportedly left devastated when she developed a breast infection called mastitis, leaving her unable to breastfeed her newborn tot Billy. Kate revealed:
"Just before the August bank holiday, I was feeding my baby son, Billy, when I felt a pain in my left breast. By the next day, the pain was worse and my breast had started to feel hot and looked really red."
Kate was then rushed to London's Cromwell Hospital and was warned that if the surgery didn't work, she could have lost a whole section of her breast.
Fortunately though the operation seems to have been a success.
"While I feel like I've been through the mill, I feel pretty lucky, too. If I'd left things much longer, I could have lost a chunk of my breast” said a rather relieved Kate.
