The 48-year-old recently served time for assaulting and falsely imprisoning a male escort but despite that little fact he was still hoping that the judge would allow him to appear on the Channel 4 reality show, which kicks off on the 3rd Jan.
But unfortunately for George it’s not meant to be and the official statement from Mr Justice Bean reads:
“I consider that right-thinking members of the public would take the view that an offender serving the non-custodial part of a sentence of imprisonment should not be allowed to take part in a high profile, controversial television production, promoting his status as a celebrity and with considerable financial gain.”
Hmmm, we think we agree with the judge on this one, but Boy George’s lawyer did say that if his client had been a plumber he would have been allowed to work and banning him from appearing is just discrimination, which is also kind of true.
