The former Baywatch legend - who is now going to be replaced by US Deal Or No Deal host Howie Mandel – has not had his contract renewed by the shows producers, but he’s still trying to remain upbeat.

Speaking shortly after the news broke David said:

“It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly.”

But a well-placed source paints a very different picture when they said:

“He was absolutely devastated at the news. The show provided the majority of his income.”

Hopefully this latest blow will be the wake up call he needs to finally sort himself out once and for all.
