Victoria Beckham made her highly anticipated debut on American Idol last night. The former Spice Girl became a guest judge on the ninth series of the show after Paula Abdul quit last year.

However some very mean critics have been quite harsh about Posh’s judging skills on the programme yesterday. One writer said of Victoria’s appearance on she show:

“I always thought a British accent made people sound smart but I guess I was wrong”

Whilst one LA critic commented:

“The night's saddest failure, however, was guest judge Victoria Beckham, who actually made plenty of appealing comments and bonded beautifully with fellow judge Kara DioGuardi but whose gaunt appearance was so off-putting it might have cost her the slot DeGeneres eventually won.”
