Born on May 28, 1992, in Great Neck, New York, the Jewish Danielle Bernstein was always interested in fashion. When she was just a teenager, she started her own fashion blog called WeWoreWhat. The blog quickly became popular, and Bernstein used it as a platform to launch her own clothing line of the same name.
She finished her high school education in 2010 at William A. Shine Great Neck South High School then she enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study retail but after a while, she transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She didn’t finish her college education since she decide to drop out to focus on her fashion blog WeWoreWhat.
Danielle Bernstein started her fashion blog WeWoreWhat in 2011 as a street-style photographer which then became a personal style blog.
In 2016, she released her line of overalls which she called Second Skin Overalls. In 2017, she was included in the Forbes 30 Under 30, she was only 24 at that time. In the same year, she and Onia designed swimwear that became best-selling in Intermix. Her collaboration with Onia was followed by two more collaborations.
