George Michael or Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou was born in England on June 25, 1963. Kyriacos Panayiotou, his father was a restaurant owner while his mother, Lesley Angold, used to be a dancer. Melanie and Yioda were his two older sisters.
George developed his passion for music and became friends with Andrew Ridgeley at an early age. Both attended Bushey Meads School, where they pursued music as their career and worked as DJ to school clubs.
