L was born Kim Myung-soo on March 13, 1992 in Seoul, South Korea. He didn’t disclose the names of his parents and siblings but we do know that he has an older brother named Kim Moonsoo.

L finished high school at Duk-soo High School. He then enrolled in practical music at Daekyung University for his college education. He got his college diploma on February 15, 2013.
