Early Life

LP was born Laura Pergolizzi on March 18, 1981, in Huntington, New York. She started writing songs at a young age and began performing them live while still in high school. After graduating, LP moved to Los Angeles and started working as a songwriter for other artists.

Career Highlights

LP released her album Heart-Shaped Scar in 2001 and another album Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol in 2004.
