Daniel Michael Andrews was born on July 6, 1972, in Williamstown, Australia. He is the eldest of four children of his parents Bob Andrews and Jan Andrews who were both teachers.
In 1983, Andrew moved from Glenroy to Wangaratta in northeastern Victoria with his parents and siblings. There, he studied at the Marist Brothers’ Galen Catholic College.
In 1900, Andrews decided to move back to Melbourne, Australia to study at Monash University, where he was a resident of Mannix College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in politics and classics in the year 1996.
