Linda Bauld was born on the 2nd of June, 1970 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was named Linda Caroline Bauld. She has not disclosed her parent’s identity yet.
Her parents moved to Canada from Scotland when Linda was young. For her high school education, she joined the Glenlyon Norfolk in Victoria. She graduated by topping in that area and was awarded the Governor General’s Medal by the province of British Columbia.
In 1993, Linda completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with Political science as her major, from the University of Toronto. Later, she completed her Ph.D. in Social Policy from the University of Edinburgh.
Linda began her career as a professor. She has worked in several universities as a professor including, the University of Kent, the University of Glasgow, and the University of Bath. She joined the University of Edinburg in 2018.
Professor Linda Bauld got his specialization in Behavioral sciences. She has conducted research on the use of alcohol and drugs, smoking, how to quit smoking, and the effects of quitting smoking. Currently, Linda is serving the Scottish parliament as the COVID-19 advisor. She is the co-director of the Center of Population Health Sciences in the Usher Institute. She is the leader of Diabetes UK and the Institute of Alcohol Studies.
