His parents thought that he would be interested in becoming a businessman but he decided to pursue a music career so he moved to Southern California.
He worked part-time during the day and went on gigs at night with his band. According to him, his idols are Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix.
Benise heard a Spanish guitar on the radio while driving and he realized something. So when he went to get a nylon string guitar and started relearning the instrument. He then decided to retire from his electric guitar and focus on the nylon string guitar exclusively.
