In the beginning, she reported that she intended to send those pictures to her husband but accidentally forwarded them to her student. As the trial continued she was found guilty of ‘possessing material portraying minors in sexually explicit behavior’.
She was charged with four felony crimes including possession, distribution, and display of sexually explicit material to minors.
On the 14th of July 2020, Kanawha County Circuit court sentenced Ramsey to two years imprisonment, a probationary release of 10 years after imprisonment, and registration as a Sex Offender for a lifetime. She had to report to the Kanawha County Circuit court by 20th July 2020.
