Basel Manadil was born in Homs, Syria on November 11, 1993. Basel’s father is Lebanese and his mother is Syrian.
In the year 2014, during the Syrian Civil War, Basel’s family was forced to leave Syria and go somewhere else safe. His parents decided to move to Lebanon with her sister and their pet dog. Basel on the other hand fled to the Philippines on his own. In that same year, he joined a TV show Eat Bulaga and he won on a show called “Foreignoy”.
On December 21, 2016, he created his YouTube channel. He became known in July 2019 for a content that he posted that praised the country Philippines and its economy. Due to his fame and his positive feedback on the country, Manadil has been named as “the adopted son of the Philippines”.
Basel is best known for efforts to give relief for victims of calamities, such as giving 1000 blankets to victims of the 2019 Cotabato earthquake or making and giving out food for the Filipinos affected by the 2020 Taal Volcano eruption.
