Mind you, it was probably even chiller inside where the show was taking place as the theme of the Karl Largefeld helmed fashion-parade was “artic chic”.

Apparently it was some kind of fashiony statement about global warming or summink, and the catwalk was aptly decked out in icebergs and streams of running water.

Lindsay seemed suitably impressed by the display, telling her followers on Twitter:

“God bless CHANEL and Karl Lagerfeld*AMAZING show in the arctic :)”

Some people are easily pleased, aren't they?

But the big burning question is, can you work out who it is?

And that’s exactly the question TV show host Alan Carr decided to put to the actress when she appeared on his chatshow recently (the interview from which will be aired on Channel 4 this Thursday at 10pm).

Problem is, Alan didn’t exactly ask the question quite as politely as that! In fact he simply asked her “are you back on the c*** again?”

Surprisingly LiLo refused to comment. Amazing.

Joined by her mother Lynne, the two girls spent the afternoon browsing various stores including GAP, Barneys and H&M, which was clearly thirsty work as Britney sipped her Haagen-Daz shake before downing a bottle of water – Oh, just thinking about it makes us need a wee!

Apparently Wayne had the t-shirts (which read “Team Bridge” on the front and “F*** JT&V” on the back) made while he was on holiday in Miami and was seen wearing the designs while on beach with his team mates Shaun Wright-Phillips and Micah Richards.

And as a bit of a joke he even decided to hand one of the t-shirts to a photographer who’d been following him around. Well at least he can laugh about it.

In fact Bridge seem to be getting over the incident remarkably well; over the weekend in Miami the footballer was seen ogling and chatting-up a large a large group of buxom wenches…

Instead of finding the troubled star perched in the front row of the fashion show we caught with her strolling around the French capital with a mystery female pal.

But it sounds like change is afoot as when the brand owner was asked why Lohan was absent last night he simply replied:

“She’s not involved with this collection.” Oh, it’s like that then is it?!

Although seeing as their last collection was panned by critics it’s hardly surprising that they gave Lohan the boot and even less surprising is the news that without Lindsay’s creative help, last nights show was heavily praised by the industry.

But now Katie – who we spotted knocking about LA with her hubby Alex Reid yesterday – claims that she and Posh finally buried the hatchet at Elton John’s post-Oscar party over the weekend.

According to the former glamour model, she and Vicky had a lovely little “chat” while at the party which was “really nice” she added: “about bloody time. I'm chuffed it's over, to be honest."

That’s strange because Victoria Beckham’s “people” (who have taken to calling her VB apparently) have strenuously denied that the pair even spoke at the bash saying:

"VB definitely had NO conversation with Katie Price. Their paths didn't cross all night."

So, which of the two do we believe then? And why would either of them lie?! Well we suppose Victoria Beckham has got her credibility to think about hasn’t she?

Oh hang on a second: Victoria Beckham doesn’t actually have any credibility does she? It’s all a bit of a mystery really…

During the Vanity Fair party at the Sunset Tower Hotel we spotted the likes of Kathryn Bigelow, Carey Mulligan, Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges to name but a few, but we also caught up with Peaches Geldof and Eli Roth.

The duo appeared to be absorbed in a deep conversation as they cosied up on the sofa and posed for pictures with their hands intertwined.

So what does this mean? Is 20-year-old Peaches dating 37-year-old horror film director Eli? We wouldn’t be the least bit surprised.

“I explained very carefully to her that I wasn't ready for anything serious with anyone and she said she was fine with that. We were only intimate on a handful of occasions and we didn't even go on any dates” - What a gent!

He then explained that he decided to end things, “when it became clear that the goal posts had changed and Maddy's feelings had too,” he said, “I didn't want to lead her on or hurt her in any way.”

“I was therefore really shocked and disappointed that she decided to sell her story as I really thought she knew the score from the start and that we were both just in it for the same reasons. What is it with me and the wrong women?!”

Aw, boo-hoo, poor little Pete! What did he really expect?! You can't tell a girl you’re not looking for anything serious, keep having sex with them and complain when they want it will develop into more. He can't really be that stupid!

Meannwhile, Maddy has already hit back at Pete’s latest comments and said:

“He’s in The Sun saying I was nothing but sex again, lovely...what I’ll never understand then is why send 2 months worth of very loving texts every day and begging me to tell him 'I love him' if it was soo casual!”

No love lost there then!
