Sonu Nigam belongs to a Kayastha family. He was born to Shobha Nigam and Agam Kumar Nigam on the 30th of July, 1973. He was born in Faridabad city, Haryana. Teesha Nigam (sister of Sonu Nigam) is also a well-renowned singer. Meenal and Neekita are also his sisters, who are younger than him. When Sonu was young, he always wanted to become a vocalist and a singer. At a very young age, he started singing. He sang a famous song with his father.
This song “Kia Hua Tera Wada”, became very famous. He shifted to Mumbai to start his singing career when he was 19. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa taught him how to sing. Nigam has sung romantic, ghazal, rock, and patriotic songs in multiple languages of India. The first song of Sonu Nigam was “O Aasman Wale” from Aa Ja Meri Jaan released in 1993.
