Tony Kakkar was born in April 1984 in India. He was born into a poor family and his father Rishikesh Kakkar used to sell samosas outside schools in order for him to support his family while his mother Niti Kakkar is a housewife.
During the 1990s, Tony and his family moved to Delhi where he and his sisters Sonu Kakkar and Neha Kakkar started singing and received 50 rupees after each performance.
In 2005, Tony and his sister Neha moved to Mumbai where he accompanied his sister for her song recording. He also took the chance to learn the technical aspects of composing songs. Later, he started making his own songs.
Tony Kakkar started making his own music after he learned the aspects of composing music then Pooja Bhatt who is an actor and a producer noticed Tony. Pooja suggested Tony to meet with the T-series owner Bhushan Kumar.
Tony prepared his song “Sawan Aaya Hai” to show to Bhushan. Bhushan loved Tony’s song and offered him his first song.
