According to the Mirror, Pete – who we spotted launching his new calendar in Bluewater yesterday – was left “horrified” when he discovered a “three inch burn” on his daughter’s back while he was getting her ready for bed.

He allegedly sent a string of texts to Katie asking her where the injury came from and when she didn’t reply he consulted a doctor who told him the wound may have been sustained from hair straightners.

An angry letter was supposedly written to Katie demanding an explanation, which she duly gave.

She claims the burn occurred during her ski trip to Klosters a few weeks ago; apparently Princess scorched herself when she ran into the sauna while Katie was in there. A source told the Mirror:

“She was in a sauna with her mum and sister when Princess ran in and burnt her back on something. We’re not sure what it was but suspect it could have been a hot pipe. Katie was devastated to see her little girl in pain.”

The explanation has only further angered Pete who now wants to know why she was in the sauna in the first place.

Katie though disputes the Mirror’s reports. On Twitter today she said:

“Again lies being reported! As for peter he should know what a real BURN is like look at HARVEYS leg that he burnt while in PETES CARE!!”

That’s fighting talk if ever we’ve heard it.
