Early Life

Ari Stidham was born on the 22nd of August 1992 in Westlake Village, California to Jewish parents. He and his brother Jordan were raised as practicing Reformed Jews and joined the Centre for Early Jewish education in Thousand Oak. Ari found his passion for music early and by the age of four, he had begun learning instruments. By the time Ari was ten, he had evolved in his interest in the arts and participated in theatre and musical production throughout elementary and high school.

Seeing his genuine interest in acting, his parents allowed him to apprentice at the Santa Susana and Kingsmen Shakespeare companies. While at the company, Ari participated in small roles at the Equity Shows and was able to sharpen his amateur skills. He also found his interest in comedy and joined the improvisational comedy group Comedy Sportz.

Career Highlights

Ari’s break into the Hollywood scene came in 2010 when he was 17. A friend he had made during his time doing improv had recommended him as a source to Savannah Dooley who was gathering intel for a movie about fat camp. Having attended fat camp at the age of 15, Ari took the interview and gained a genuine interest in the character. On learning that the part had not been cast, he cold-called the casting director to submit himself and landed an audition.

Fortunately, Ari got the role and he made his acting debut as a lead role in the TV series ‘Huge.’ Although the series only lasted one season, it set him on the right path as it landed him a booking agent. For a moment after his first big gig, things slowed down for Ari and although he had been to two pilot auditions, he had not placed for any of the shows.

Ari initially auditioned for Scorpion for a two-line part in the pilot. After his first audition, he received the news that Demise Charmian was considering him for a main role in the series. Excited for the opportunity, he ran the sides he had been handed with two friends. Ari landed the role despite it being initially written for an African American and shooting began a day after the audition. Ari stayed on the show for its entire four seasons appearing in 93 episodes.

Ari has since appeared in numerous other shows solidifying his reputation as an actor. Besides his acting, Ari has put his musical genius into action and released the album ‘JACUZZI LOUIE’ which features a soulful New Orleans vibe. He has also produced and directed the films Curse of a Siren’ and ‘Clara’s Ghost.’ Going back to his theatrical roots, Ari wrote the plays, ‘Theatricus Americanus’ and ‘Dick Duquesne’ which he wrote with Zack Green.

In 2018, Ari and his brother shared their childhood goofiness with the world by creating ‘SOLO MUST DIE: A Musical Parody’ based on Star Wars which they grew up enjoying. Ari has since taken on the musical comedy with his spin on Allan Poe’s ‘The Edgar Allan Show.’ The musical features re-enactment and recitals directed by Ari and a few of his original pieces.
