Lee took birth in a dairy farm located in Texas. He was very fond of acting and singing from his childhood. Thus, he started up a band with the name “Johnny Lee and the Roadrunners” along with his studies at high school. After passing matriculation, Johnny joined the US Navy and gave his services on the USS Chicago’s guided-missile cruiser.
