Marcus King was born Marcus Lee King on the 11th of March 1996 in Greenville, South Carolina. His father’s name is Marvin King. His father was a famous guitarist in South Carolina. His grandfather Bill King also liked to play the fiddle and guitar.
King was inspired by his father and grandfather so he began playing guitar very early in his childhood. At just 4 years of age, King started practicing guitar. At 8, he began performing. At only 11 years of age, Marcus King started his professional career as a musician.
Marcus King began his professional career at 11 by playing guitar along with his father, Marvin King. In 2011, when King was 15, he made his way into the Orange Peel music club in Asheville. He began mentoring King.
