Barnes was born in Los Angeles, California on 24 June, 1965. Details of his early life are hard to find today, however, he started pursuing acting as a child with his parents help and this led him to audition for several film and TV projects. His biggest break came in 1976 when he was cast to play a surly boy in the film The Bad News Bears.

Despite his early success in acting, Barnes has not appeared in any notable film or TV series since he quit working on After School Specials as a youth.

Career

Barnes’ career took off at the age of ten when he appeared in a Hollywood film called The Bad News Bears, and it’s sequel, The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training.

When he finished shooting the sequel to The Bad News Bears, Barnes began appearing on After School Specials throughout the late 1970s.

For his role in his first film, Barnes was paid a total of $25,000, of which 25% was put aside in a savings bond account based on California’s Child Actors Bill. This was meant to ensure that child actors received a portion of their earnings when they became adults.

Barnes had misplaced his savings bonds paid to him during his early work and only managed to get them back in 1998. By this time he lived in Utah and held a modest job at a flower shop.

Barnes has since worked various jobs in his adult life but he moved on from acting in the early 1980s.
