Pumwaree Yodkamol was born on the 9th of February 1982 in Bangkok, Thailand. She was raised alongside her sisters, Oil and Aom Yodkamol.
Pumwaree first shot to fame in the year 2003 when she starred alongside the actor Tony Jaa in the film ‘Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior’. She portrayed the character Muay Lek,a street-bike racing hustler who made a living out of conning dealers of the popular Asian drug yaba. The plot follows a trio thrown together out of sheer convenience to hunt down a drug dealer responsible for the disappearance of the head of an ancient Buddha statue. The film was a box office smash grossing up to 20 million. Pumwaree followed up her debut with an appearance in the film ‘ The Bodyguard.’ In the film, she portrayed the character Pok, a young tomboy living in a slum in Bangkok who becomes the love interest of a wealthy heir hiding out with a volunteer car-accident rescue squad.
Later in 2004, Pumwaree booked her biggest role as the main act in the horror film ‘Pisaji.’ She was cast as the main character Oui who is a young girl that recently lost her parents to a shooting. The loss leads her to her Aunt Bua who practices mysticism and her nephew who has the ability to see ghosts. The film features separate parallels that are ultimately connected. Pumwaree’s last appearance was in the 2005 film ‘ Tom Yum Goung’ where she made a background cameo. She has since remained inactive within the entertainment industry.
