But wait, Cheryl wont really be performing on Sunday night, apparently instead singing live in front of an audience of 14million Cheryl has decided to pre-record her performance in front of a studio audience of just 800, want to know why?
Well rumour has it there wasn’t enough time for costume changes during the live show and we guess that kind of makes sense, but what doesn’t make sense is the fact she’ll be miming as well!
A source at ITV said the decision came following last year’s disastrous Girls Aloud performance:
“The girls did not have a huge amount of time to rehearse, and while they looked beautiful in 1950s-style gold gowns, their vocals were terrible. We even had to have a sound engineer in the director's gallery backstage standing over the controls trying to make them sound better, but to no avail.”
But wait, there’s more, they then went on to say:
“Cheryl is the break-out star of Girls Aloud and there are big plans for her. Nobody - neither on the X Factor nor her record label Polydor - wants to see her fail, which is why we thought it was better for Cheryl to mime her performance.”
Better? Really? We’re thinking a few bum notes would be better then the backlash she’ll receive from miming! Fingers crossed she’s got a complicated dance routine to make up for it.
