Alexa Demie was born on December 11, 1990, in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in Atwater Village by her single mother Rose Mendez who worked as a make-up artist.
Alexa’s environment while growing up was not that healthy. There was always fighting and yelling in her neighborhood and there was even a drug lab near their apartment.
Alexa also had a rough time at school since she was always bullied by her classmates who teased her as a loner. When she was in her senior year in high school, she joined the performing arts club where she learned how to act.
While Alexa was in high school, she designed or modified sunglasses that she got from LA. She then started her sunglasses business which she called Mainframe.
