On April 11, 2006, while Proof was performing at the CCC Club in Michigan playing pool with Kieth Bender, he got into a fight with some other customers of the CCC club. During that fight, a customer named ‘Bouncer Mario Etheridge’ pulled out the gun and shot Proof Rapper 4 times, which hit his stomach and head area. The rapper died immediately. His friend brought him to the hospital, where he was announced dead on arrival.
