Griffith is the son of Thomas Joseph Griffith and Mary Ann (née O’Neil) on March 18, 1962, in Hartford, Connecticut. His mother was employed at a dance studio while Griffith studied at South Catholic High School in Hartford. Next, Griffith went to the College of the Holy Cross to get his college education and became a dean’s list student. But unfortunately, he left that place after his junior year to start his acting career in New York.
